Youngstown State University Pedestrian Bridge

BCR is proud to support Youngstown State University with critical repairs to a campus pedestrian bridge—an essential connection between the Wick Avenue Parking Deck and the main campus. This fast-track summer project addressed major structural challenges under an extremely aggressive schedule and within a highly constrained site. Scope of work included:
Complete structural repair and stabilization across all three spans, full shoring of the bridge to enable structural repairs , full-depth flange replacement on large areas of the double tee beams , recasting of damaged flanges, repairs and reinforcement of existing bridge piers and pier caps , installation of new railings and traffic coatings.
