Columbus North High School

BCR was the masonry restoration contractor for the exterior façade restoration of the historic Columbus North High School (now known as Dominion Middle School) located in Columbus, Ohio. The original structure was built in 1923. The project was a complete façade restoration including brick/stone replacement, lintel replacement, sealant replacement at windows, brick/stone tuckpointing with historic mortar, and stone patching. As with most historic projects, one of the largest challenges with the project was the number of unknowns. Without existing drawings or documentation, most repairs had to be developed as the building was disassembled. BCR is proud of preserving a piece of history and giving this customer a long-lasting product that will be around for many more years to come.
