Southeastern Correctional Institution

BCR has successfully completed the restoration of multiple buildings at the Southeastern Correctional Institution Facility in Lancaster, Ohio. Our focus was on the exterior restoration of four buildings, including two dormitory buildings, a chapel, and the Castle building. The historic facility, dating back to 1857, was originally constructed as a trade school for wayward youth. Our comprehensive work encompasses masonry restoration, including repointing, brick replacements, lintel replacements, cleaning, water repellents, and new roofing. Additionally, we undertook several areas of stabilization and rebuilding for the mass masonry load-bearing walls. BCR is always prepared to extend the lifespan of any structure!
