Quinn Chapel
Quinn Chapel
Location: Louisville, Kentucky
BCR was the general contractor for rehabilitating structural roofing elements as well as masonry façade restoration at the Quinn Chapel in Louisville, Kentucky. Constructed in 1892, the Quinn Chapel is one of the oldest black churches in the city. Our work has helped restore a vital historical site that the reverend Martin Luther King Jr. spoke in during the civil rights movement of the 50’s and 60’s. The architectural significance, as well as the cultural, cannot be ignored. During its original construction, it was described as a “model specimen of church architecture” within the city. BCR is always proud to help restore community cornerstones such as chapels and churches with the finesse and expertise that is required with historic religious sites.
