Garth Elementary School

Garth Elementary School

BCR performed a building envelope project on the historic Garth School in Georgetown, Kentucky. Built in 1925, the building was constructed on the site of the former Georgetown Female Seminary using bricks from the original structure. Listed on the National Park Service’s National Registry of Historic Places, the red brick and stone building is an example of Collegiate Gothic style architecture. BCR’s scope included a complete façade restoration, including tuckpointing, lintel replacement, stone repair, brick replacement, new windows, and sealants. BCR is proud to help preserve this incredible landmark.
